Today we learn that Vinnie Paul, legendary drummer of HellYeah and Pantera, has passed away at the age of 54. Vincent Paul Abbott is known to all as Vinnie Paul was hailed as one of the greatest drummers of all time. Vinnie Paul was a founding member of the band Pantera who hit the metal music scene back in the early 1990s. The debut album Far Beyond Driven (1994) hit number one on the charts and propelled them as a super group in heavy metal that sold out stadium size crowds. After Pantera called it quits Vinnie Paul continued with his brother Dimebag Darrell (Darrell Abbot) with the band Damage Plan. In 2004 Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed on stage back on December 8, 2004. Vinnie Paul continued forming the supergroup Hellyeah till his death yesterday, Saturday, June 22, 2018.
