On March 3rd, 2023 Detroit, Michigan had a hard, wet snow storm that blanketed the city. But with temperatures in the low 20’s, it was still time for the ‘Fall Back In Love’ tour.
Despite the cold and snowy weather in Detroit, it was a full house inside Little Caesars Arena. Detroit showed up, and showed out! Jacquees opened the show, which thrilled the crowd when he walked to the back at center stage, and sat on the floor to sing his hit song, ‘Trip’. The crowd went wild as he definitely got the show started on the right foot. Song after song, and move after move Jacquees kept going hard.
Next up was August Alsina who we haven’t really heard from since his last album, ‘The Product: State Of Emergency’, which was released in 2020. But that didn’t stop his fans from going crazy wanting to see him. They knew his songs word-for-word and showed him much love. August sang songs like, ‘Myself’, ‘Wouldn’t Leave’ and ‘No Love”…just to name a few.
Mario opened his set with his song, ‘Mars’ from his album “(Closer to Mars).”, which came out in 2020. Loud screams came from the crowd when he sang songs like, ‘Crowns And Diamonds’ and ‘Crying Out For Me’. It was ‘over’ when Mario took his shirt off, jumped on top of the speaker and danced. The ladies went crazy!
Monica, who we haven’t heard from since her last cd ‘Ask Why’, graced the stage. Singing her hit songs, ‘Angel Of Mine’, ‘Don’t Take It Personal’, ‘Before You Walk Out Of My Life’ and her latest single, ‘Friends’, it was like she just performed here yesterday. The crowd sang along with her, and even when she cut the music, the crowd was still singing.
The lights go down, the band starts to play, and the emcee says loudly, ‘Make some noise for Trey Songz’! As Trey walks out, the ladies start making their way towards the front in the stage, screaming and yelling, ‘I love you, Trey’!!! And with that, Trey Songz came out blazin’…opening with ‘Na Na’. But by that time, he had already had them in the palm of his hands. Next song ‘Bottoms Up’ had the crowd dancing in the aisles all through Little Caesars Arena. They especially went crazy when he performed his monster hit song, ‘Say Ah’. Of course, they knew all the words and sang along with him. Slowing things down a bit, he went into ‘Slow Motion’. Trey Songz put on an amazing show, which probably made people forget about the weather outside.
