Tom Keifer – #keiferband

The Arcada Theatre in downtown St. Charles, IL was the final stop for Tom Keifer – #keiferband in 2019. The sold-out venue was waiting to hear Tom Keifer perform songs from his former band ‘Cinderella’ and songs from his break out solo album a few years back ‘The Way Life Goes’ and finally songs from his brand new album ‘Rise’. As the #keiferband took the stage it was apparent that the fire was starting. Besides being a superb songwriter, Keifer has one of the greatest voices in rock and one of the most distinguished.
The band opened with his new song “Touching the Divine” from his album ‘Rise’. Many of Keifer’s songs on ‘Rise’ and even past albums have the undercurrents of dark times, which leads to faith and spirituality, which finally leads to survival. This blues-infused hard rock song was a perfect opener. He also performed new songs “Rise” and “The Death of Me”. Keifer didn’t miss a beat and his fans sang word to word his classic world-wide hits including “Night Songs” “Coming Home”, “Nobody’s Fool”, “Shake Me”, and “Gypsy Road”. His wife Savannah who is a songwriter, backing singer and percussionist sat with Tom by the piano and sang with him “Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone).
“Rise” is one of the best new albums of 2019 and Unrated Magazine has an exclusive review of many of the songs. Keifer’s previous band Cinderella sold over 15 million records worldwide and his new band #keiferband has a creative vibe and solid sound that match and even exceed his former. Kudos to the #keiferband for a night of pure rock energy overflow: Tom, Savannah, Tony Higman, Billy Mercer, Kory Myers, Kendra Chantelle, and Jared Pope. #keiferband are already locking in dates to hit the road in 2020.
