It has been a great summer for outdoor concerts and music festivals living in Philadelphia with all the amazing artists that have passed through during recent tours, but we had to wait for more than two solid years for Rammsteins’ North American Stadium Tour. While there are only a hand full of dates I myself long side 30,000 plus fans were fortunate enough to be a part of a rare stadium show at Lincoln Financial Field.

After seeing some of the great video clips and some of the rave reviews on how great this show was even before actually settling down at the Link as it is referred to by a nick name, absolutely nothing beats the actual live spectacle show of any concert.

Sometimes we often think well if I don’t see them right now while they are in town, I can always wait until next year or somewhere in-between, oddly enough it has been a good decade since Rammstein performed in Philly and back then was a wow factor even in a smaller arena setting.

On the day of the show, the hype was already in full effect as parking lots filled up fast and traffic became a nightmare to even get close to the venue, some I could see walking for miles during the daylight hours even before gates opened.

Oddly enough there wasn’t any band or any note of someone opening for Rammstein but, after getting to my seat I found out we had the pleasure of listening to two pianists hovered on top of stage B.

Just a bit past 8pm intermission lights went out and the stadium went from a complete silence to an ecstasy of being overly joyful for live music filling the empty void we just can’t live without.

With only being familiar with one or two songs from the massive 24 song set, the band never sounded better with a solid performance complete with pyrotechnics and the abundance of flames to light up an entire block.

Defiantly not a bad seat anywhere in the stadium with speakers set up like cell towers in the back field made for a surround sound effect especially with the drums and guitars.

Sitting through many of the back catalog of songs spanning this bands career pretty much sold the crowd over in minutes especially with “Du Hast”.

For some this was a new experience for others who live and breathe metal bands, this show was nothing short of greatness with burning towers toward the end of the show including Till Lindemann having flames shoot out behind during the show.

With having seeing this band at least once maybe twice a lifetime, this time around was twice the excitement with a stage set up to make your jaw drop 150 feet wide and 150 feet tall in size which basically covered the entire side of the football field.

It was a great show filled with music spanning an entire career and not to mention a fiery inferno that light up the sky at the end of the show.

One hell of a show in Philadelphia, no doubt this tops any stadium concert production anyone has ever seen for a lifetime.

Hoping we don’t have to wait for another ten years for another eye popping show to arrive in American like this one that will be talked about for years to come.
