LP’s “Lost on You” tour whistles into Chicago!
LP (Laura Pergolizzi) at Lincoln Hall. LP (Laura Pergolizzi) and her band rolled into Chicago early June to showcase new songs off her latest album release Lost on You. Unrated Magazine has been following LP since her early days and it seems like the world is finally discovering the unique voice and tremendous writing talent of the petite curly hair singer.
Her sold out show at Lincoln Hall was no surprise. Her latest album is getting strong reviews and stays in the LP
style – raw and not your run-of-the day cookie-cutter songs. She took stage with the eerie and vibe catching song “Muddy Waters”. As the blue lights from Lincoln Hall focused on her you could feel the electricity from her fans.
While she has a huge fan base in the USA, she really is quite the sensation overseas. At Lincoln Hall she performed the toe-tapping “Lost on You”, the whistler “Other People”. More crowd favorites included “When We’re High”, ‘Switchblade”, “Strange” and from her Forever For Now album, “Levitator”, “Tokyo Sunrise” and “Into the Wild”. In between songs LP always has quirky comments and keeps the crowds attentions by her short fun stories.
In Lincoln Hall theatre LP noticed a huge sign that read “LH”. In her own comedic style she pointed up at it and said to her fans “Hey, they misspelled my name!”
