Lamb of God Tour
The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre

Tuesday the 13th, the at The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre Lamb of God swung by with Suicide Silence, Baroness, and Killswitch Engage! The amphitheater was built pretty much during covid, and so I had no idea it even existed! When I got there, I parked at the Covelli Centre and walked over to the newly built and recently opened amphitheater and was blown away before the show even started!
When Suicide Silence took the stage, I have to admit it was shocking to see the vocalist who looked like a metal version of Jack Black and sounded like Dani from Cradle of Filth! The crowd were still piling into the venue, and those who missed these guys seriously missed out! Suicide Silence may have opened the show, but they set the bar for the rest of the night!
Next up, we had Baroness come out and throw down! This band from Savannah, Georgia came to Ohio to show us that the south has some metal acts that need some attention! Baroness hit the stage and it was energy from start to finish. They were fun to watch, fun listen to and I have added them to my playlist. If you have not heard of Baroness, I strongly suggest you check them out!
Killswitch Engage came out and it was time to take no prisoners! These guys have 20+ years of experience and they unleashed it on for a full merciless 40 minutes of brutality! Killswitch is a band I have been listening to since the early 2000’s and never had the opportunity to see them live until now! If they head your way, make sure that you check the guys out! You will not be disappointed, they are showmen through and through!
Finally, it was time for Lamb of God to come out and melt our faces! Randy and the guys came out, and I am not kidding about Suicide Silence setting the bar for the night. Randy and the guys saw that bar being raised and accepted the challenge and crushed it!
The light and pyro show was phenomenal! Randy is 51yrs old on the day of this show, and he moves like a teenager on a sugar high! I am sincerely jealous! He was running around the stage, he was leaping and jumping off the drum platform that was easily 6ft or more feet off the stage. Seeing him do that was awe inspiring and a tad bit terrifying and still all together AWESOME!
Lamb of God opened with “Memento Mori”, great song and one hell of a way to get the adrenaline pumping and warming you up for what was to come! Next was “Walk With Me in Hell”! I love this song, and to see them play it live was incredible!
I cannot stress how impressive the pyro and light show was for this show! Lamb of God spared no expense to provide the best show possible! It goes without saying that Lamb of God delivers every show, and this stop in Youngstown supported that fact. Lamb of God started off in 1994, and here we are in 2022 and these guys are going stronger than ever 28yrs later. I cannot fathom how these guys have gone this loud, this hard, for this long! I am truly envious and would love to know their secret!
Wrapping this up, if you have the opportunity to see Suicide Silence, Baroness, Killswitch Engage, and or Lamb of God, you need to make it happen! All of these overwhelmingly talented musicians came out there, and they turned it to 11 all night!
