Kiss
Madison Square Garden, NY NY
December 01 and 02, 2023

Madison Square Garden, the last Kiss Shows (Kiss Weekend). Where just about everyone, stood on their feet for this show. In speaking to the faithful Kiss Army hearing stories of what this show means to them I understood why they were here.
This band started it all. The makeup. The pyro. The controversy. Walking into Madison Square Garden they were picking outside. Just like in the movie Detroit Rock City. Paul Stanley mentioned how he used to drive a cab and drop off people at MSG saying one day he would be playing there.

In February 1977 they played there for the first time. It is only fitting that they would finish up where they started. December 1, and 2 2023 they played their last shows at the world-famous Madison Square Garden.

They started the show coming from the ceiling, with pyro exploding as they played Detroit rock city. In regal Kiss fashion. The crowd singing in harmonious tune. The 2 older gentlemen sitting near me started to cry as they realized this would be the last time they would hear and see Kiss live on stage.

Their set list included Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud, Deuce, War Machine, Heaven’s on Fire, Love It Loud, Say Yeah, Cold Gin, Lick It Up, Calling Dr. Love, Makin’ Love, Psycho Circus,100,000 years, God of Thunder, I was made for loving you, and Black Diamond, encore Eric Singer singing Beth.

Then Paul says we are going to sing a couple more ending with Do You Love me and Rock and Roll All Night Long. It was hit after hit. The crowd was appeased and actious at the same time as we got closer to the end. Singing every song screaming at every explosion. Gene breathing fire and spitting blood. This is what Kiss has brought to the music. After 50 years of playing live together.

They rocked it out as only Kiss could do. There was plenty of Pyro, smoke, confetti cannons, and balloon drops. Tears and smiles. Ushering in a new digital era. They are the first to create avatars of their personas so they can live forever digitally. What that means I don’t know but if this the end of the Road for them, I truly believe that Kiss with or without digital avatars will live on in our hearts and memories Forever. God gave rock and roll to us and Rock and roll gave us the greatest band in the world.
