BRAND NEW DEBUT ALBUM ‘DEMYTHED’
OUT ON OCTOBER 29TH!
What is your backstory?
I come from a very small place, called Elassona. It is located in the shadows of Mount Olympus in Greece.
Growing up, learning about Greek mythology and the 12 Gods was ingrained in society. the myths still revel to this day as they do around the world.
How did you get your first guitar, and do you still have it?
My grandfather got it for me. He is a huge music lover. He wanted to be a musician and his father (although a musician himself) didn’t allow it. He got me a Spanish guitar, I have it to this day, and I love it.
What was your first performance at like?
SCARY.
What makes a good songwriter?
authenticity, honesty.
What was the title of your first original song? Did you record it?
No, I haven’t. I still remember it though. I was 14. maybe I should record it…. it would be the perfect Metal song!
How was it to perform at the British Museum a Capella?
I felt empowered and grateful. It was the right thing to do. I’m glad I could spread the word about the hideous act by the British museum to keep stolen sculptures from the Parthenon incarcerated still to this day, allowing a fantastic artifact, the Parthenon, to be torn in half.
Those who love cultures, people, and the arts, do not perpetrate wrongdoings, on the contrary, they do everything they can, to make things right.
Digital vs. vinyl?
VINYL.
What are your feelings about social uprising going on in the United States?
Cruelty is saddening, but I think it’s about time for a big change. I am glad when I see people trying to change the world for the better.
What have you been doing with your self-quarantine?
all I’ve been doing is working towards the album launch, keeping my distance from people, going for long walks, and trying to change the world for the better in my way.
Have you gone back to basics?
almost… you could think it’s simple… but it’s not.
What is your favorite place in the world?
watching an endless sea, preferably somewhere warm 🙂 and being on the Parthenon.
How can bands keep their fans if they can not play live in front of the fans and sell merch to them at the show?
at the moment, live streaming is the next best thing!
If you can’t do music what would you like to be doing?
Acting.
Tell us about your new album, DEMYTHED: It will be released in October 29th.
My aim was to create a magical universe of dreamscapes and mythology, spiritually navigating the listener along an emotional rollercoaster. I have worked with very talented beautiful humans on this album, one of them being Maki from Lacuna Coil. He recorded a song called A Little Too Late. The song offers support to victims of domestic violence. There are serious themes covered in this album, like racism, domestic violence, bullying, but they are portrayed in such a way in order not to take the listener to a dark place, but for the listener to think.
The album has a organic Rock instrumentation, augmented with flavorings of Eastern mystique. I hope people love it.
We created it with a lot of love and hard work!
Will Halloween be the same this year?
for me, it will be better, as Medusa will make her appearance for the first time on my socials.
Anything you would like to say in closing?
I hope you will love DEMYTHED and that it will give you what you need. all my love!
