What is your upbringing?
I was born in Switzerland and grew up in between Florida and New York City! My mom is from America and My dad is from Switzerland, so I get the best of two worlds!
How did you discover music and start to write your own music?
I discovered music through my parents, my dad is a big music fan and my mom has a beautiful voice. I started writing songs at 13.
How did you get your first guitar, and do you still have it?
-I got my first guitar at 10 years old, a family friend taught me how to play. I do still have it, it’s very special to me.
What was your first performance at like?
-Very nerve wrecking! Haha I remember I froze for a few seconds when the lights first come on the stage because they were so bright. As soon as I start singing, I relax though!
What was the title of your first original song?
-It was called summer love!
Did you record it?
-I do, haha I don’t know if I’ll ever let it be heard though. It’s quite interesting. haha
How does someone from Switzerland land in Nashville?
-Great question, my Mom is from the south. So, I grew up with southern influences on her side and we always listened to country music. I think I’ve just always had a deep-rooted connection with it and when I started writing in Nashville, I knew I had to move!
How do you enjoy working with Song Suffragettes?
-I love working with them! Playing their shows are always some of the most fun nights. I think what they are doing for women in country music is really important.
Tell me about you latest EP The Prologue Live Acoustic Session?
-I got to re-imagine all the songs of my debut EP the Prologue and strip them back to the bones of the songs. So, they are all live, acoustic, one-take songs. It was so fun to make and get to be creative by showing these songs in a new way.
What is your favorite track on the album?
-Ah I can’t choose! I think Keep my eyes on you and Only One are my current favorites.
Digital vs. vinyl?
-I’m a digital girl! I love having music at my fingertips no matter where I am.
What song from the past is in your mind right now? Moreover, what does that song mean to you?
-I’ve been listening to a lot of Coldplay lately, specifically their Ghost Stories album. It’s one of my favorite albums from, the song Magic takes me right back to my high school summer days.
What have you been doing with your self-quarantine?
-I’ve still be writing and working on my next releases and promoting the Prologue EP. I’ve also gotten some time to spend with my family which has been nice.
Have you discovered or rediscovered any new hobbies?
-I’ve fallen in love with cooking and reading! It’s been nice to get the time to do things I normally don’t have the time for.
95% of people said that they have changed the way they watch television. Which is your favorite streaming channel?
-I love Netflix and Hulu! The best.
You are a triplet! You and your sisters started a podcast. Whose idea was it?
I am! Yes, the podcast was my idea, it’s been a lot of fun to be creative in a new way. Podcasts are definitely more candid then say Instagram or other platforms.
Live Nation just started Live Nation from Home. Which are concerts from artist homes. An all-new virtual music hub keeping fans connected to their favorite artists featuring daily live streams, performances, new music and more. Do you think it will be possible to make a living doing concerts this way?
-I think it’s definitely possible and as the times change and we adjust to our current circumstances, the possibilities are endless.
On July 27, you did a Songs Suffragette session. With social distance. How was it? With Social Distance being the norm.
-It was a great experience! We had to wear masks the whole time except when on stage, but it’s great to be back on a stage again and not just over zoom.
Where do you hope to see yourself in five years?
-I hope to see be making and release music, being able to tour and connect with people on a bigger scale!

Caroline
